Disable Antivirus Protection
- Press the Windows key + S to search for Windows Security Center.
- Select “Virus & threat protection”.
- Select “Antivirus & threat protection settings”.
- Navigate to “Active protection”.
Disable ZoneAlarm
- Press Windows + X and select Apps and Features.
- Select the ZoneAlarm Antivirus app and click the Uninstall button.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.
Perform the SFC scan
- Go to Start and select Settings.
- Go to Update & Security.
- Select Recovery from the left pane and click Get Started.
- Select the Advanced troubleshooter and click Next.
- Now select SFC scan from the list of troubleshooters.
- If SFC scan fails, try running it manually. To do that, you need to run Command prompt as administrator.
- To do that, right-click the Start button and select Command prompt (Admin).
- Once the Command prompt opens, run the following command and press Enter: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Perform the DISM scan
- Press the Windows key + S to open Search, enter cmd in the search box, and click on the relevant search result.
- Now, copy and paste the following command and click OK: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for the scan to complete (this might take a while), and restart your PC once the scan is finished.
Perform the System Restore
- Press Windows + S to launch the Search menu, and enter System Restore.
- Select Create a restore point from the results.
- Click on Next to proceed.
- Choose the system restore point from the list of results, and click on Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restoration process.

- Now, a list of restore points will appear, and you can select the desired restore point. If the system restore helped you, it will automatically go back to the previous state.

- Navigate to the Services tab. Then, locate Hide all Microsoft services (not configured) and click to select the Disable all button.
- Now, navigate to the Startup tab. Select the Services tab. Check the Hide all Microsoft services (not configured) option and click Disable all to disable all startup services.
- Click Apply and OK to save changes.
- Restart your computer when prompted to do so.
