Uninstall the antivirus
- Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app. When Settings app opens, navigate to the Update & Security section. Now click on Uninstall updates.
- Select recently installed updates, right-click on them and choose Uninstall.
- When confirmation dialog appears, click on Uninstall.
Run a full scan in Safe Mode
- Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
- Next, navigate to the Update & Security section.
- Select Troubleshoot from the left pane, and then select Advanced options from the right pane.
- Select Startup Settings.
- Click the Restart button.
- Once you’re in Safe Mode, the Antivirus Release Virus malware and related files will be removed.
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run command.
- Type msconfig and click OK to open System Configuration.
- Go to the Services tab, and check for any suspicious processes.
- Now, go to the Startup tab, and check for any suspicious entries.
- Finally, go to the Boot tab, and check for any suspicious entries.
