VMware Workstation is a popular virtual machine (VM) software, but many users reported several issues while using the software in Windows.

Disable Hyperthreading
- Click the Settings icon in the VMware Workstation 9 window.
- Select the Options tab.
- Select the Processors option on the Options tab.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Select the Hyperthreading option in the Advanced Processor Options window.
- Toggle the Hyperthreading option off.
- Restart Windows.
- Deactivate Virtualization Technology
Click the Settings icon in the VMware Workstation 9 window. - Select the Options tab.
- Select the Processors option on the Options tab.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Select the Virtualization Technology option in the Advanced Processor Options window.
- Toggle the Virtualization Technology option off.
- Restart Windows.
Uninstall the VMware Tools
- Remember, to uninstall the tools, you’ll need to open the VMware Workstation app, right-click on the VMware Tools icon, and select Remove.
- Next, restart the app.
- Next, try to re-install the VMware Tools.

Disable the USB Device Support

- Choose the Devices tab, find the USB Controller, and select Disable.

Tune RAM

Tune CPU
- Open the VMware Workstation console.
- Press the F9 key.
- Choose Advanced on the CPU tab.
- Enable Overclock option and adjust the CPU clock frequency.
- Press Enter to save changes.
- Disable CPU Hotplug

- Disable CPU Power Management
Open Device Manager on your device. - Expand the System Devices section.
- Right-click on CPU and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Check the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option.
