Virtualisation is the process that allows multiple operating systems to run simultaneously on the same computer.
This useful feature allows Windows 10 users to run different versions of the same software at the same time, or run two operating systems at the same time.
However, it seems that some users have reported getting the Virtualisation BIOS Active Error while trying to activate the virtualisation feature on their PC.

1. Update BIOS
- Press Windows key + X and choose Device Manager option.
- In Device Manager, locate your motherboard model and right-click it.
- Choose Update driver from the context menu.
- Next, select Search automatically for drivers option.
2. Unplug/replug USB keyboard

3. Change BIOS settings
- Press Windows key + X to open the Win + X menu.
- Click Device Manager.
- Double-click on Bios to open the tab shown directly below.
- Right-click on the BIOS option and select Update from the context menu.
- Select the Rollback option to revert back to the previous BIOS version.
4. Reinstall keyboard driver
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards, right-click on the keyboard device, and select Uninstall device.
- If prompted to uninstall driver software, select Uninstall.
- Restart the computer.

6. Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
- Open the Cortana search box and type Troubleshooting.
- Select Troubleshooting from the results.
- Click View all to expand the list.
- Click Hardware and devices from the left pane.
- Click the Run the troubleshooter button for Virtualisierung bios Aktivieren.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting.
7. Run the Boot Configuration Data troubleshooter
- To run this troubleshooter, press the Windows key + S button, enter troubleshoot in the search box, and click on the relevant search result.
- Next, click on Troubleshoot settings to open the window shown directly below.
- Click on View all under the Windows startup troubleshooter to expand the troubleshooter options.
- Select the Apply a fix or restart option on the Startup troubleshooter if it’s available.
- Select the Apply fixes automatically option on the Boot Configuration Data troubleshooter if it’s available.
- Then press the Next button and press the Finish button.
8. Reset BIOS to default
- Press the Delete key on the Keyboard
- Press F9 (or F2) key
- Hold Esc key and F12 or Del key
- Restart the computer
9. Update/Roll back BIOS to previous version
- Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
- Navigate to Update & Security.
- Click on the Check for updates button.
- Now, download and install any available updates.
10. Change BIOS language

11. Install the driver from the CD/DVD that came with the keyboard
- 12. Press the Windows + X keys and type Device Manager.
- Select Device Manager from the menu.
- Locate your keyboard in the list.
- Right-click it and choose Update driver.
- Click on Search automatically for drivers.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

- Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
- When Device Manager opens, locate your keyboard driver, right-click it and choose Update driver.
- Now choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Your computer will now download and install the latest driver for your device automatically.
