Run the DCOMCNFG.MSC command
- Press the Windows key + R hotkey to open the Run accessory.
- Then input dcomcnfg in the Open text box.
- Double-click the Local Computer Policy to open the window in the snapshot directly below.
- Select the Computer Configuration option on the left panel of the Local Computer Policy window.
- Click Windows Settings from the options on the left panel.
- Select the Security option on the left of the Windows Settings window.
- Select the Component Options tab on the Security tab.
- Select the Component Services option on the Component Options tab.
- Click the Turn off Component Services option on the Component Services Options tab.
- Click the Apply and OK buttons.
- Next, restart the desktop or laptop.
- Then open the Run accessory.
- Input regsvr32 outlook.exe in the Open text box.
- Press the Enter key.
