Perform an SFC scan
- Right-click Start and open Settings.
- Choose Update & Security from the menu.
- Select Troubleshoot from the menu on the left.
- Select Additional troubleshooters from the right pane.
- Scroll down and choose Startup Repair and click Run the troubleshooter.
Run SFC scan as administrator
- Click Start and select Settings.
- Click Update & Security.
- Select Troubleshoot from the menu on the left.
- Click Additional troubleshooters from the right.
- Select Windows Update and click Run the troubleshooter.
Reinstall
- Remove and reinstall Format Factory to fix any issues with the software.
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run utility.
- Type appwiz.cpl in the Open box, and click OK to open the Program and Features window.
- Select the Format Factory icon, click the Uninstall button, and follow the instructions to uninstall the software.
- Restart Windows after uninstalling the software.
- Then, reinstall the software from the desktop shortcut.

Run Format Factory as administrator
- Check UAC settings
- Check for missing .dll files
- Run the Format Factory setup file
- Check your antivirus program
- Run Format Factory in compatibility mode
Reinstall .NET Framework
- Go to Start > type “Command prompt” > open Command prompt (Admin)
- Re-create the Format Factory folder
- Go to Start > type “Command Prompt” > open Command prompt (Admin)
- In the command line, type the following command and press Enter: “attrib +s /s FormatFactory”
- Now, go to your Format Factory folder and right-click it > select “Properties”
click on “Change””>
- Check the †̃Replace owner on subcontainers and objects’ option > click OK
Repair .NET Framework
- Go to Start > type cmd > right-click on Command prompt > select Run as Administrator
- Type the following code and press Enter: sfc /scannow
Switch to Windows 10
- Click Start and select Settings.
- Next, click Update and Security.
- Scroll down and click Recovery.
- Select Restart now from the Advanced startup menu.
- Select Troubleshoot.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Startup Settings then Restart.
