Install the needed software
- Install the latest AMD or NVIDIA drivers, which should include the necessary Direct3D fixes.
- Also, download and install the latest version of DirectX.
- Update your graphics card drivers.
- Check if the graphics drivers are outdated.
- Use the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
Update your video card driver
- Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager from the list.
- When Device Manager opens, locate your video card and click Uninstall device.
- When confirmation dialog appears, click Uninstall.
- After driver is uninstalled, restart your PC and download and install the latest video card driver.
Update your drivers
- Open the Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click on your display adapter and select Update driver.
- Windows will now scan the hardware for available driver updates.
Change your graphics settings
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps.
- Select 3D Apps.
- Under 3D apps, click Settings.
- Go to the Graphics settings.
- Change your graphics preference to either High or Ultra depending on the enjoyment.
- Restart your computer.

Restart your system
- Press the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut.
- Type in msconfig, and click OK.
- Select the Services tab.
- Highlight the Direct3D option, and click the Disable button.
- Click the OK and Restart buttons to close the window.
Use Command prompt

Open Command prompt as an administrator.
Enter the following command and press Enter: dxdiag - In the window that appears, locate Display Adapters section. If a warning appears, click Yes.
- If you’re using NVIDIA graphics card, locate NVIDIA section.
- Right-click on the NVIDIA section and choose Properties.
- Locate Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver.
Reset your computer
- Press and hold the Windows key + R to open Run.
- Type control and press Enter.
- Click on Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click on the display adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer.
Perform a SFC scan
- Press the Windows key + S, type cmd, and select Run as administrator under Command prompt.
- Type the sfc /scannow command, and hit Enter.
- The System File Checker will now start scanning for any errors, and the system will automatically fix them.
Perform a DISM scan
- To do that, press the Windows key + X and choose Command prompt (Admin) or Command prompt (Admin) (Windows 10).
- Type the following command and press the Return key: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
