Disable Real-time Protection
- Press Windows Key + R and enter msconfig. Press Enter or click OK.

3. Locate Windows Defender Real-time Protection service, right-click it and choose Disable from the menu.

Change Windows Defender’s settings
- Press the Windows key + I, and select Update & security.
- Select Windows Defender Antivirus from the menu on the left.
- Click the Open menu on the right.
- Select the Virus & threat protection settings option.
- Press the Apply button.
- Select the Scan options tab.
- Set the Scan Options to Full Scan.
- Click on the Scan now button.
Manually update Windows Defender and Antivirus
- Open Run with the Windows key + R hotkey.
