Check Video Codec support
- Open Final Cut Pro > click on the Apple menu > select System Preferences
- Click Displays, then click the Advanced button
- Select File > Get Info
- Check the codec drop-down menu to make sure Video Codec is None
Install codec pack

- Download and install VLC media player.
- Run VLC media player.
- Select Media > Convert/Save.
- Select Convert/Save.
- Select a format.
- Click on Codec Pack tab.

Install VLC
- The first thing you need to do is to install VLC.
- VLC is a free media player that supports various media formats.
- Download and install VLC media player from the following link.
- Download VLC media player.
- Run the downloaded setup file.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Install QuickTime
- Go to the official Apple website to download the QuickTime application.
- Install the app on your PC.
- Launch the QuickTime app on your PC.
- Open your QuickTime settings by clicking File and selecting Preferences.
- Click the File Types tab.
- Click Add under the Movies section.
- Select Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov).
- Click Add.
- Close the QuickTime Preferences window and restart the QuickTime app.
- Open the QuickTime app on your PC.
- Open a file that is having issues.
- Click the icon that looks like a gear icon.
- Select Codec from the drop-down menu.
- Select ProRes 422 from the Codec menu.
- Click the OK button to save your changes.
Delete Audio/Video Cache
- Open Finder, then select Applications from the menu bar at the top.
- Locate the QuickTime application, then right-click on it and select Get Info from the menu.
- If your computer came with a preinstalled version of QuickTime, go to System Prefs, then Applications, then find and delete the file called “QuickTime Cache”.
- Now, you need to delete the “Apple Application Support” folder. To do that, open Finder again, then select Go from the menu bar, then Library.
- Go to Preferences.
- Choose Library, then “Show Library Folder”.
- Go to “Application Support”, then “Apple”, then “QuickTime”, then “Preferences”.
- Open the Caches folder and click on “Delete Caches”.
- Restart your computer
