DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:WindowsSourcesWindowsSystem32driversetc
Perform an in-place upgrade
- Go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates in the left pane and Windows Update in the right.
Update the BIOS
- Press the Esc key on your keyboard, then go to the BIOS configuration page.
- Select Program Settings, then Scan.
- Select First User Boot, then Save and Exit to save changes.
Uninstall your antivirus
- Open your antivirus’s configuration menu.
- Navigate to the Protection tab, and select the Protect my computer option.
- Click the Remove protection button.

Reset Windows
- To reset Windows, press the Windows key + I and select Update & Security.
- Click Recovery from the left pane and click Get Started under Reset this PC.
- Select Keep my files to reset your PC.
- Select the Keep my files checkbox, and click Reset.
Use the System File Checker
- Press Windows + S, type cmd, and select Run as administrator under Command prompt.
- Now, paste the following command and hit Enter: sfc/scannow
- Wait until the process is finished (it might take a while), and restart your PC.
Reset your BIOS
- On your motherboard, press the Delete key to access the BIOS.
- Press the Power button to power on.
- If prompted, enter any BIOS password.
- Press the Save & Exit button.
Clean boot your PC
- Type msconfig in the search bar > click OK
- Go to the Services tab > double-click on the Hide all Microsoft services > go to the Startup tab > uncheck all apps > click OK
- Restart your PC
Disconnect third-party devices
- Close all third-party programs and devices that are connected to your computer.
- Close all third-party programs and devices that are connected to your computer.
- Uninstall third-party antivirus programs
Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app. - When Settings app opens, navigate to the Update & Security section.
- Select the View update history option.
- Locate the third-party antivirus program on the list, click on the Uninstall button, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
- Scan for malware
Open your antivirus program, click on the Scan option, and select the Full scan option. - Once the scan is complete, remove malware, if any.
- Rebuild system files
Press Windows Key + S and enter cmd. Now select Command prompt from the list of results. - When Command prompt opens, enter the following commands: sfc /scannow sfc /scannow
- Wait until the process is complete (it might take a while).
- Right-click Start and open Command prompt as an administrator.
Enter sfc/scannow and press Enter.
Wait while the process is finished, and then restart your PC.
