- To resolve the Group Membership issue, you first have to find out the user account that is confusing the AD.
- Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Right-click the Active Directory domain and click on Properties.
- From the left pane, click on Group Policies.
- Then, click the Group Policy Management Console.
- In the console, locate the Group Policy Object (GPO) which you want to edit.
- Right-click on the GPO and click on Edit.
- In the left pane, expand the Group Policy Objects.
- Right-click on Users and Computers, click on Edit.
- In the Users and Computers Properties, expand Default Domain Policy.
- In the Default Domain Policy, right-click on User Configuration and select New.
- In the User Configuration window, right-click on Policies and select New.
- A New GPO window will open.
- Name the new GPO as Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Click OK.
- Now, expand the newly created GPO.
- Right-click on User Configuration and select New.
- In the User Configuration window, right-click on Policies and select New.
- A New GPO window will open.
- Name the new GPO as Group Policy Objects (GPO).
